Voter intimidation, lack of knowledge of how, when, where, and what to take to the poll has led to a disproportionate amount of voters to refrain from voting during an election. Often, information regarding absentee ballots, Identification required, or changing personal information on a voter’s registration card has led to a rise in voter suppression across the country.

Through SVEC Tarrant, we aim to curb voter suppression by:

  • Creating web pages where constituents can find out how to obtain a absentee ballot, how and when to use it, and what to do if they choose to vote in person

  • Work with the greater March to the Polls organization to update online voter registration form request pages with easy to read information regarding when and how to update their registration

  • Work with Tarrant County Elections to increase training and the number of educated poll workers to curb issues on Early Voting and Election Day
