GOAL THREE - CURB VOTER SUPPRESSION
Voter intimidation, lack of knowledge of how, when, where, and what to take to the poll has led to a disproportionate amount of voters to refrain from voting during an election. Often, information regarding absentee ballots, Identification required, or changing personal information on a voter’s registration card has led to a rise in voter suppression across the country.
Through Voice of the Empowered, we aim to curb voter suppression by:
Creating web pages where constituents can find out how to obtain a absentee ballot, how and when to use it, and what to do if they choose to vote in person
Work with the greater March to the Polls organization to update online voter registration form request pages with easy to read information regarding when and how to update their registration
Work with Tarrant County Elections to increase training and the number of educated poll workers to curb issues on Early Voting and Election Day
